A paradise for water lovers

As the coastline varies widely, water lovers find great opportunities besides sailing in Mallorca. The tranquil coves - with their many cliffs and hidden cuts to be explored - are ideal for snorkeling, and also as far as diving is concerned, Mallorca offers an incomparable frame. Both the locals and tourists go on underwater adventures in the impressive landscapes under the sea surface, where more than 700 species live, and several underwater caves are located. Many diving centres, including in Port d'Andratx and Cala Rajada, offer thorough instruction, before you take it upon yourself to rent equipment and possibly a boat to visit the best and most exciting places. Whether you're a beginner or a PADI diver: Mallorca has plenty of amazing water activities in store for you!

In addition, paragliding and jet skiing have become popular activities. However, perhaps even more so, surfing and Stand Up Paddle (SUP) are among the most sought-after water adventures. Today, SUP is the fastest growing water sport worldwide, and more and more people take on the activity with great pleasure, as it provides good physical and full-body exercise.

SUP is a brilliant water sports option in the protected  bay of Port de Sóller as well as on the east and south coasts, where the sea is quieter. You can rent equipment at the various shops among the beaches and also get thorough instruction in both the necessary techniques and safety precautions.
