The beach at Port de Pollensa

Port de Pollenca is among the absolute favorite places of the experienced Mallorca traveler. It's also one of the island's  most beautiful and most Spanish seaside resorts with a quiet pace. The fishing village became popular with tourists already in the 60's, but in spite thereof, it's never been particularly touristy. The town centre is picturesque, and the hotel complexes blend well with the original architecture. It's a town and beach that are also well-visited by many locals.

Overall evaluation:
The beach is about 500 m long, and you're able to do much activities such as volleyball, windsurfing and pedalos. The beach stretches several kilometers east towards Alcúdia. This part is narrower and more wild with pine trees.

Child friendly:
The water is clear and shallow (without being quite as shallow as in Alcúdia) and the sand is fine-grained.
