Cala Mesquida

Cala Mesquida is a small, quiet area in the eastern part of Mallorca, located in one of the most scenic places on the island. Cala Mesquida is frequented by couples and families, seeking a holiday in a scenic and peaceful setting.

On one side of the beach, you'll find pines, whereas the Viva Mesquida hotel area is located on the other. It takes you about 10 minutes by car to reach the nearest town (Capdepera) and 15 minutes to go to Cala Ratjada, which is a major tourist resort. There, you'll find shops, banks, pharmacies and restaurants.

In Cala Mesquida, the offer is limited to just a few tourist shops, kiosks, ATMs and small restaurants.

Overall evaluation:
The 350 m long, white sandy beach is wide and hardly ever gets crowded. The sea changes between blue and turquoise green shades, and the water is crystal clear and inviting. A flag system indicates the water current, and sunbeds and umbrellas make beach life easy. The days pass by while relaxing, doing water sports and hiking - possibly after having had breakfast at the small beach restaurant.

Child friendly:
Cala Mesquida is big - with plenty of space to play. However, during days of much wind you should be careful, as the waves get large and high very quickly.
