Cala Mendia

Cala Mendia is located 3 km southwest of Porto Cristo, and it's a really nice beach that has Cala Anguila as it next-door neighbour.  

Overall evaluation: 
The beach is approx. 60 m long, but twice as wide, meaning that there's plenty of space to have fun and play. The beach is beautifully located in a bay with rocks on both sides. The sand is bright and the water incredibly clear. Additionally, there's a large section of sunbeds to rent, and often a lifeguard safeguards the beach and its visitors. 

Child friendly:     
The beach is not particularly shallow, but nevertheless, you cannot call Cala Mendia anything but child-friendly, as it offers plenty of space to play for families with children - both in and outside of the water. On the other hand, you cannot rent any type of water sports equipment, and be aware that when the wind blows from the west, you may experience high waves.
