Mallorca holiday bookings are booming
Although it happens on a sad background, it would seem as if the corona virus might end up benefiting Mallorca's tourism.
Various markets report of optimism for an increased number of bookings this Summer. And several tour operators are said to be diverting holiday sales from South East Asian countries to Mediterranean destinations - with a specific focus on Mallorca.
Especially early UK bookings are reported to be up an average of 6%, meaning that in overall terms, 41% of the same bookings are scheduled for the Balearic region, thereby reaching the highest percentage as regards main beach holiday regions.
