Unparalleled and world-renowned artist Joan Miró resided in Mallorca from 1956 and until his death in 1983. During those years, he painted a large part of his famous art works. 

After his death, his former home that also had the function of a studio, was turned into a museum - a place that, today, forms part of a larger cultural center named Fundación Pilar y Joan Miró.
